Arrival of Autumn

On September 23 Autumn arrived in the Northern hemisphere. It's my favorite time of year! I'd love to take the camera on a lazy tour of the county and shoot some old barns, pumpkins, grape leaves turning shades of persimmon into crimson shouting the arrival of autumn. But as the days have grown shorter, lately my time at work has increased ~ my days are longer! However, I have been able to enjoy the rewards of that hard work and even been able to teach a class in addition to my day job. For that I am grateful (tired, and grateful!).

To mark Fall's arrival here are some lovely Fall-themed patterns:
The Fluttering Leaf quilt pattern would make a great throw.
Acorn Autumn is a wall hanging...along with many other gorgeous free projects from McCall's.
Quilt Magazine features several projects which could be given as gifts along with Halloween accessories.

Fall Into Fall Giveaway

Update October 15, 2010 -- The winner has been selected via random.org and was notifed via email!

**Stay tuned, it's my birthday month and another giveaway is in store soon**

This has been a lot of fun to learn what you enjoy doing in the Fall. I read all of the posts and this talk of football, leaves, pumpkins and baked goods has me ready for all the wonderful things Autumn has to offer.

Thanks again, Debi, for organizing the Fall Into Fall Giveaway.

~~~~~~
Welcome! Thankfully Debi arranged this gathering of quilting bloggers to celebrate Fall. Be sure to go here for additional giveaways to enter.
Autumn is my favorite season and I want to celebrate by giving away one yard each of two House coordinates to one lucky winner. You do not need to have a blog to win. So, are you ready?
1. For one chance to win comment on this post about your favorite Fall activity.
2. For a second chance to win become a follower. Then you must leave a comment to let me know.
One winner will be selected from all entries on Friday, October 15.
Fall into Fall Quilter Bloggers Giveaway
On October 1st quite a few quilters and even businesses will host giveaways on their blogs. I decided to join in the fun too! Visit again on October 1 for details on a giveaway, and click on the scarecrow on the sidebar to link to other opportunities to win as well.
Until then, happy stitching!
